Product Writing Lead, Cordial

Since getting promoted to Product Writing Lead, I built and launched an in-app Resource Center in our platform. I worked closely with our UX and customer support teams to develop impactful content for the Resource Center, including a pop-up onboarding guide, announcements for platform enhancements, and a product request form where users can request specific enhancements.

I also handle general UX writing responsibilities. I audited and updated our UX writing guidelines and pinpointed all places in the platform that didn’t adhere to our style guide. I also advocated for and implemented a crucial copyediting stage into our UX design process. This is in addition to still handling all of Cordial’s documentation and technical writing needs.

Technical Content Writer, Cordial

As the sole technical writer at Cordial, I launched a large-scale upgrade of our Knowledge Base with improved UX and information architecture; collaborated with marketing and UX to develop a scalable style guide for learning content; revised and updated hundreds of individual articles to maintain a consistent voice and style across our docs; and worked closely with product managers, engineers, and our amazing customer support team to create documentation for new features and enhancements, breaking down complex technical processes into digestible content.

At UKG I created help articles, self-paced courses, and infographics to guide customers through specific functions within UKG Pro human resource management software.

During my time at Chapman, I worked hard to expand upon the school's reputation as a liberal arts college and highlight its amazing STEM programs. With the content I wrote, I also strove to inform high school students about the college experience and how they could set themselves up for success. I also updated multiple webpages for the school with more engaging copy and improved information architecture.
